We love our Neve 5060 Centerpiece mixer, but we know that nothing is perfect. Although the first 8 channels have stereo faders, with up to 10 dB of gain, the remaining 16 tracks are mixed via the top 8 stereo knobs which only go up to unity gain. For the form factor, that's been a fine tradeoff, but we've wondered if there was something out there to make the mixing of all tracks feel a little more even - enter the [Speck Electronics via Fader](https://www.speck.com/viafader/viafader.html?ref=wishingtree.audio). It's a straightforward bank of 16 channels of IO, that also have some gain, meaning we can mix our last 8 stereo tracks on the 5060 the same as the first 4.

Absolute magic, but again - nothing is perfect! The faders are for mono IO, but our 5060 has the inputs routed as stereo. Could we have taped a few pencil across the faders and called it a day? No! We busted out our calipers, took some measurements, and 3d printed a single fader that would span two channels.

These likely wouldn't work in the 10 channel version of the via Fader, due to the spacing of the channels being different, if you have a VF16, or the VF16M mixer version, then feel free to snag a copy of the STL so you can try printing your own!
