Mix and Mastering

We break our mix and mastering service down into three phases.

Phase 1

We will take your already-recorded tracks, and perform a full "in the box" mix. We're happy to include light vocal tuning as well, if desired.

Phase 2

From there, we will run the stems through our Neve 5059 analog summing mixer for a touch of saturation, do a final polished mix through our analog mix bus.

Phase 3

We then running it through our mastering chain.

Mixing

Our "in the box" mix is largely channel strip driven, doing cleanup and shaping with light EQ and compressions, summed into several buses to make up the stems of the track. This will typically be sectioned into things like a drums and bass, vocals, instruments, and effects - but of course is track dependent, and best judgement is used to get the best mix.

From here, the main mix is done, and we will run it through our analog mix bus and mastering chain for further processing. You can read more about our Mastering Service page for more details about that.

Deliverables

We can provide the DAW project bundles at request, and will provide 24 bit / 48 kHz WAV renders for both the "in the box" mix as well as our analog mix bus of

  • Stems
  • Main stereo mix
  • A Cappella Stereo Mix (no main vocals, if applicable)
  • Instrumental Stereo Mix (no vocals, if applicable)

We also provide the deliverables as outlined in the Mastering Service for that portion.

Pricing

Our Mix and Mastering service starts at $120/track, with discounts for multi-track projects. This includes 2 revisions per track per phase, and a 100% guarantee - only pay for the deliverables if you're happy with the results.
