Weekly Beats 2026
We're already more than half-way through the year, but I think it's still worthwhile to share the creative endeavor called Weekly Beats. It started in 2012, and I joined up in 2024, and is still going strong.
Weeklybeats is a 52 week long music project in which artists compose and publicly release 1 song a week for the entire year. Starting December 29th 2025 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.
It's not a competition. There are no winners, or prizes. It's just a group of people pushing themselves to release one new song a week. And if you miss a week? That's ok too! The rigor of weekly beats is self imposed. It runs every other year, so there's no reason to not get some songs in 2026 or else you'll have to wait till 2028!

The weekly beats website can be found at the link below. Sign up, and share some music! It's a forum based website, where nearly all the commenting on tracks happens, but there is a discord server for more social involvement.

In addition to the forum based website, there is an unofficial discord channel where many of the members hang out, inspire, and encourage each other.
Chasing the Beats
One of the many great things to come out of the Weekly Beats community is a podcast called Chasing The Beats, where user SQF interviews many of the community members.
